Echoes from Syria (VIDEO)

Since its start in March 2011, the war in Syria has killed 400,000 people and displaced more than 11 million from their homes. According to figures from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the war has caused more than 5 million people to migrate, one of the largest exoduses in recent history.
Meanwhile, the developed countries, led by the European Union, far from finding a solution to the conflict, are investing millions of euros in preventing the displaced from crossing their borders.
Every boat that comes ashore off the European coast, every group of displaced people looking for a safe place to live is an echo of a conflict that is still raging and in which all international laws on political asylum are being violated. The echoes from Syria.
