Dogma

ESP

dogma
(Del lat. dogma, y este del gr.

ENG

dogma
1. A doctrine or a corpus of doctrines relating to matters such as morality and faith, set forth in an authoritative manner by a church.
2. An authoritative principle, belief, or statement of ideas or opinion, especially one considered to be absolutely true.
3. A principle or belief or a group of them.

Religion constitutes an anachronism in a society that considers itself scientifically and socially advanced. Myths and legends that form the scriptures contradict all scientific literature and nowadays’ knowledge.

Religion removes critical thinking, letting people believe fervently in imaginary worlds.

What sense has in our society the continuity of religion? Is it not possible to live a full spiritual life but with a more realistic vision?

Faith transforms itself into a dogma that turns us into docile and manageable people, joining a herd that unconditionally obeys and pleases its pastor.

Repeat like lambs the empty doctrine even if it hurts! Amen.
