ES La sociedad de consumo ha penetrado en nuestra forma de ser, de estar y de relacionarnos con nuestros cuerpos, propios y ajenos. ¿Acaso este sistema ha modificado la vinculación que poseemos con nuestro propio cuerpo? ¿Qué papel ha asumido el cuerpo en los últimos tiempos? ¿Cómo observamos e interactuamos con los otros cuerpos?
Estas son algunas de las preguntas que plantea Cuerpos en Observación, una pieza performativa que tiene como fin aunar dos disciplinas a priori inconexas: el arte y la investigación psicosociológica; con el objetivo de conformar una performance en directo sobre el seno del estudio de la interacción entre la audiencia y el cuerpo del artista.
Este proyecto artístico/científico ha sido creado a través de la colaboración entre Miguel Andrés, performer y artista visual, y Elena Vázquez Gomis, psicóloga del Máster de Psicología Social de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, con el propósito de trasladar la investigación sociológica de la academia al espacio artístico para que pueda llegar al gran público.
Con esta performance/estudio exploraremos las formas de interacción con el desnudo para descubrir el lugar que ocupa el cuerpo en el contexto actual. Para llevar a cabo esta acción performativa precisamos de la inestimable participación del público, cuyo papel es imprescindible para la construcción de la obra.
ENConsumer society has permeated the way we are, the way we exist, and the way we relate to our own bodies and to the bodies of others. Has this system altered the relationship we have with our own bodies? What role has the body assumed in recent times? How do we observe and interact with other bodies?
These are some of the questions raised by Bodies Under Observation, a performative piece whose aim is to bring together two disciplines that are a priori unrelated: art and psychosociological research. The goal is to create a live performance situated within the study of interaction between the audience and the artist’s body.
This artistic/scientific project was created through the collaboration between Miguel Andrés, performer and visual artist, and Elena Vázquez Gomis, psychologist in the Master’s Program in Social Psychology at the Complutense University of Madrid, with the purpose of transferring sociological research from the academic sphere into the artistic space so that it can reach a wider audience.
Through this performance/study, we will explore forms of interaction with nudity in order to uncover the place the body occupies in the contemporary context. To carry out this performative action, we require the invaluable participation of the audience, whose role is essential to the construction of the work.
